What therapy is..

  • A way for you to process and navigate through thoughts and behaviors that have had effects on how you view things and behave because of them
  • You gaining an understanding of EVERYTHING and being able to see things from various different lenses
  • You doing to work to self-reflect and change things day by day outside of the therapeutic space
  • Me coming along side you to work through life’s occurrences, to give you a different perspective, to be a sounding board and to help redirect unhealthy habits.

What therapy is not..

  • Me giving you advice (you are the expert on you)
  • Me collecting intel on you.
  • Me dragging you along and trying to convince you.

The Therapeutic Process

I realize you are a real person and deal with real things! Diagnosis and Treatment Plans are mostly for insurance cases but are used as a guide for use to stay on track or monitor progress. I am committed to ALWAYS ask you FIRST, “So how is life going since the last time I talked to you”. I am not a robot, and neither are you! If I don’t address what may be going on with you first, you won’t listen to or absorb anything I am trying to teach you.
